NYMR restart with their 2015 timetable this weekend (28 March 2015)
There are activities for all tastes and age groups in this beautiful part of North Yorkshire, and Bramwood is an ideal base to explore the area. We are located on a quiet side street in the centre of Pickering within easy walking distance of the town’s shops, pubs, restaurants and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway station. We have off road parking to the rear of the guesthouse and offer free Wifi.
Pickering is widely regarded as the gateway to the spectacular North Yorkshire Moors National Park, and Dalby Forest, nationally renowned for its cycling and walking trails, is close by. We are also ideally located for visiting many of Yorkshire's famous coastal resorts, historic market towns, castles, abbeys, historic houses, theme parks and museums.
On 26 March 2015 Pickering launched its very own website which has lots of great information about Pickering and the surrounding area. Take a look at www.welcometopickering.co.uk
We fell in love with this charming 18th century Grade II listed property the moment we first set eyes on it and we like to think that you will too. In the Guest House we offer the traditional English B&B experience with cosy bedrooms and a hearty breakfast.
How to find us
All main routes into Pickering will bring you to the roundabout (the only one in Pickering!) at the junction of the A169 and the A170. From this roundabout take the A169 (Kirkham Lane) towards Whitby. You will find the entrance to our car park about 100 metres up Kirkham Lane from the roundabout. Look out for our signs on the left hand side of the road but beware, though, as it is a tight turn into the car park off the A169 through an archway between our two stone cottages.
